French, seasonal flowers.
When want you to decorate your interior with bouquets of flowers and simply allow a little joie de vivre in your daily life, think Maison Ciero.
Studio Maison Ciero is an exceptional florist based in Paris that creates stunning fresh and dried flower arrangements and ships them throughout France and Europe. Founder Romain Pilato shares that the idea to create his own business had been on his mind for several years, but the confinement period during the COVID-19 pandemic made him want it even more.
He found solace in his garden and working with nature, which gave Pilato a lot of ideas. He envisioned a plant creation studio that was different from a traditional florist, where he could bring something new and unique to the industry.
Founder: Romain Pilato
A passionate French artisan.
Romain had previously worked in a more traditional environment, where he was restricted in his approach to things, which limited his creativity. He believes that it is important to constantly renew oneself, accept change, and be reactive at the right time to provide clients with a unique experience.
His childhood and education encouraged him to work in this sector as he had a passion for the manual and artistic sides. He has been in the industry for over 20 years, which has enabled him to acquire the skills needed to run his own business.
Overcoming Challenges
For the love of the rose.
One of the biggest challenges in his work is the involvement it requires, as the job is often confronted with multiple problems. Pilato recalled a particular situation where he had to create an enormous piece in an incredibly short timeframe. However, Romain is a hard worker and a perfectionist, which allows him to overcome these challenges.
When it comes to creating his artwork, Romain selects only French and local producers for his flowers and raw materials, which he purchases from RUNGIS. He has a few favorite partners, such as ALÉXANDRE BOUCREUX and FLEURS DELETOILE, who supply him with beautiful roses and wildflowers.
Romain particularly loves roses such as 'Château du Rivau,' 'Charlène de Monaco,' the David Austin, and 'Yves Piaget.' He believes it is important to make people aware of where roses come from and to encourage them to buy better quality, local products.
The Study & Design of Flowers
Each project is studied, designed, thought out and unique for each of their clients, according to their request, desires and specifications.
The time it takes to complete projects varies depending on the work to be done. Romain is inspired by paintings, artists such as Monet and Mitchell, fabrics, colors, and everything around him. His process is unique and not traditional, allowing him to create unique and distinctive dried flower arrangements.
Romain's goals for his business are to grow it in the right way and focus on creations for luxury homes. He would also like to open a second, much larger boutique in a place with more traffic to make his studio better known and ship his creations internationally.
