The Serpent Queen (English)
I am currently obsessed and binge watching each episode as it’s being released on Starz. I adore it for the costume, humor, screenwriting and cast, as well as the gorgeous setting.
Persuasion (2022) (English)
Don't confuse this with the older version! Just released this year on Netflix, romantic drama film directed by Carrie Cracknell is based on the novel of the same name by Jane Austen. The film stars Dakota Johnson, Cosmo Jarvis, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Richard E. Grant, and Henry Golding.
Far From The Madding Crowd (English)
If you haven't read the book, do me a favor and read that first. Then grab some kleenex and watch this film. Far from the Madding Crowd (1874) is Thomas Hardy's fourth novel and his first major literary success. This movie does a fantastic job bringing the book to life in front of your eyes.
