I have been frequenting this tea salon for years. Approachable and an affordable luxury, I will come here during colder months for a long lunch with a good book. Reservations are required and note there's no cell signal in the salon.

An excellent choice near the Louvre for a hot beverage and pastry experience that doesn't take as long as a more formal tea time. Expect higher prices than a typical Paris bakery.

Four French Teas To Buy

  1. Mariage Frère
Keep an eye out for their popular holiday advent calendar. It is the perfect gift for the tea enthusiast in your family. I especially love their early grey provence, with notes of bergamot and lavender.

  2. Damman Frères
This tea house has been in business since 1692, when Louis the 14th granted Sir Damman exclusive privilege to sell tea in France. Watch this YouTube video about their incredible history.

  3. Kusmi Tea
Did you know that Kusmi Tea is hand-blended in Normandy? Their warehouse is located in Le Havre, where tea is shipped out from the port and arrives at your doorstep worldwide.

  4. Palais Des Thés
Palais des Thés guarantee healthy teas certified by their SafeTea program, which allows PDT to ensure their customers receive the very best teas, both in terms of taste and health.
