Since 2005, VEJA has been revolutionizing the sneaker industry by blending social initiatives, economic justice, and eco-friendly materials. VEJA sources Brazilian and Peruvian organic cotton for the canvas and laces, Amazonian rubber for the soles, and innovative materials made from recycled plastic bottles or polyester. Their sneakers are meticulously produced in top-notch factories in Brazil, with logistics managed by Log'ins, a professional company focused on social inclusion.

One of the key raw materials is Amazonian rubber. They purchase over 2450 tons of it, paying five times the market price to support the rubber tapper families. This commitment has also led to the protection of the surrounding areas.

Every VEJA sole contains 20 to 40% Amazonian rubber, purchased directly from cooperatives formed by rubber tapper families. VEJA strives to enhance the economic value of the Amazon rainforest, promoting its protection and supporting the well-being of local communities.

By supporting producer families, VEJA ensures the quality of the materials and contributes to their livelihoods, creating a positive impact in the communities they work with.
