Where to Eat Brunch in Paris, Big Love

Part of the “Big Mamma Group,” known for its authentic Italian cuisine and gorgeous interiors, BigLove tells us a different story than her sister restaurants.

Queue up early outside of the stunning window entry; the massive veranda extends slightly into the sidewalk, giving you a fish-bowl view of BigLove. Since they opened their doors, this eatery has been a popular destination, famous for its expansive brunch offerings and wood-fired pizzas.

I am obsessed with their pancakes - delightful, fluffy clouds with fresh berries and cream. BigLove's brunch lovers will also enjoy the French toast with coffee whipped cream, fior di latte ice cream, and speculoos. BigLove focuses on an entirely vegetarian menu.

Founded by Tigrane and Victor, they established their first restaurant venture in the south of France. Wishing to extend into the Paris market, they searched for a way to bring an Italian concept that had not yet been explored in the city: a 100% Italian trattoria, with products brought fresh from Italy, and a 100% Italian staff.

Driving a truck up from Italy three times a week, loaded with ingredients from their favorite producers, Tigrane and Victor found an old-school machine so they could roast their coffee. They began making fresh pasta. And the duo even rented 20 apartments in which to house their Italian team.

This dedication to the Italian ethos, sourcing, and artisanal mindset is immediately apparent. Once seated, your eyes are instantly attracted to the walls covered in wooden shelves of brass pots, pans, mason jars of olives, seeds, citrus, a variety of spices, and coffee grounds. Beside a homey exposed stone wall, a long booth spans the entire restaurant.

Don’t overthink it, if it’s tasty and inexpensive, it’ll already be phenomenal.
— Tigrane and Victor, Founders of BigLove

The Big Momma Group purchases products directly from more than 150 producers in Italy, with no intermediaries. Logistics include a grouped transport trail in Milan for produce in the North and Napoli for the South. Ultra-fresh products are brought directly by truck, and their primary focus is on supporting small artisans and their trade.

Currently, weekend brunch features two offerings on the menu: "Big Brunch" and "Truffle Lovers Brunch." The Big Brunch focuses on a more traditional recipes with small Italian touches, like a warm toasty brioche, over-easy eggs topped with a cacio e pepe cream. Each menu choice is served with 3 - 4 items and changes monthly (tip: their espresso machine is the star of the show here).

Popular with locals and travelers alike, we encourage you to make reservations one to two weeks in advance.
